(Aubrie & Mishka)

Aubrie Saige

My daughter Aubrie is the model for I (AM) Equestrians social media and our affiliations. She has been on horses since she was in womb. Since then, she has been pursuing her passion for horses by continuing her education in many riding disciplines including: English, Western, Speed, Trail, Trail in hand, Saddle Seat, Dressage, Jumping, Ranch, Showmanship, and Halter.
However, her true passion is the intensity and perfection that Dressage requires. She is currently preparing towards the Junior Olympics officially in 2025 for Dressage.
Aubrie has participated in 4H for several years. She currently works at two barns and is constantly expanding her credentials. One of Aubrie’s current favorite projects is working with a Thoroughbred gelding who she is partnering and learning positive reinforcement training.
Aubrie also owns Prue, an American Saddlebred who we purchased from her first trainers. Prue had a severe accident in ‘22 which taught Aubrie about how to recover horses from injuries. Aubrie has grown through a lot of adversity in the equestrian world. Together her and Prue they are currently working towards their comeback.

Equine Experience

Starting my own equine journey at a very young age I found my passion ran deep in my veins. I found my own ways to get to the barn in town often taking myself and working to be able to take lessons. Later, I purchased on my own a wild mustang right from the BLM who I named Freedom. I couldn’t afford a trainer so I learned how to train on my own. Moving in my high school years to the country, we took on overflow horses from another barn, several rehab horses and even rescue horses who were deemed bad tempered. I really found my niche in horses who were injured or had what others would call temperament issues.
I rode with my aunt at River Wildlife and worked for Kohler stables prior to moving to California where I found ways to help other horse owners and exercise ride for some barns in Del Mar. In 2013, I started Aubrie more on her equine journey and happily played the role of horse mom. As she grew older I started to ride Prue at the barn while Aubrie was doing lessons. Several months later I decided to purchase Prue with the intent of having her for myself as she was truly beyond what my daughter could handle at that time. My daughter soon fell in love with Prue. We worked on the ground focusing on trust and bonding. I taught Aubrie allI learned through Freedom. For her birthday a few months later I gifted her Prue and she finally got to ride her. Together they took on the show world and I became the show mom. This last year we looked at a Thoroughbred named Boo who we fell in love with for myself.

Professional Experience

To be able to be as hands on and involved in Aubrie’s passions and future with the equine industry I had long ago started on a professional path to work from home long before it was normal. I grew up in a family where owning your own business is just part of being in the family.
I started out working on websites in California with the US NAVY Seal Team on a project that greatly expanded to fit their needs. Through this, I learned a lot of valuable communication, and technical skills.
When I returned to Wisconsin, I started working for Kohler Company on many of their websites as a developer throughout several departments internal and external viewing including the Kohler Stables. I then went and worked for a private school and a college while supporting other local businesses like S&H Enterprises and Horn Enterprises as a designer and architect. I grew in my skills again taking on a role with BOLDT starting to expand more into applications and visual designer. I got an amazing offer and transferred to Crowley company ultimately moving into an application architect role.
While I was working full time for these companies I took on side projects supporting other businesses like White Brick Salon which I helped grow from a single chair to a full salon between the website, social media and strategy planning for her social media. Lauren’s Boujee Boutique as an additional Social Media Admin and creating materials for her store to help with confusion of clients. I took on equine businesses like Beaver Creek Saddle Club before handing it off in September as well as KEY Horsemanship to help support one of Aubrie’s trainers. One of the newest projects I have took on is Sundance Horse Farm. Out of this I have decided to take my professional and equine experience to create I (AM) Equestrians a business dedicated to furthering and supporting equine businesses.
I believe with my wide knowledge from owning a barn, to owning horses, to training, to showing, being a lesson student, rider, to recovery of horses has helped me to give a unique perspective when working with you on your equine business. The skills I have had to develop throughout my life assisting in wide variety of companies has helped me to be able to cover a wide variety of needs to better serve your equine business.
